Liquid special algicide against dinoflagellates and gold algae in saltwater aquariums
- DINO X is a liquid special algaecide against gold algae and other dinoflagellates commonly found in saltwater aquariums
- DINO X prevents algae growth in the aquarium and eliminates existing infestation
- DINO X is intended for use in marine aquariums
- DINO X acts specifically against single-cell algae such as dinoflagellates, diatoms or golden algae
- DINO X is also effective against higher algae
- DINO X is harmless to invertebrates and fish
- The zooxanthellae of the corals are protected and survive treatment without problems
- The use in reef aquariums does not disturb the existing bacterial flora and therefore does not have a destabilizing effect on the aquarium environment
- Dino X does not help against cyanobacteria!
Dosage:
- 5 ml DINO X per 100 litres of aquarium water
- It is very important that the exact content of the aquarium is calculated to prevent possible overdosing. In the case of very severe infestation and a good skimmer, up to 6 ml/100 liters can be dosed
- Set the main lighting phase to max. 6 hours per day.
- The product should always be dosed in the evening or 1 hour after the main lights are turned off.
- The photosynthesis of the zooxanthellae is stopped and the effect of the product is therefore optimal.
- Repeat the dosage every 2 days until the algae have completely disappeared.
- Set the skimmer to full power and operate it 24/7.
- No water changes during the dosing period, first water change approx. 1 week after the end of dosing.
- No addition of trace elements during the dosing period.
- Also no addition of mineral salts, amino preparations, SPS feed, Balling trace elements.
- No OZONE or carbon during the dosing time.
- No adsorbers of any kind during the dosing time.
- After treatment, filtering through Fauna Marin Carb L activated carbon according to the dosage instructions is recommended.
- Water values can be adjusted using Balling light or lime water. These have no effect on DINO X. However, ready-made products should not be used as they often contain additional trace elements.
- A general treatment duration cannot be specified. Dinoflagellates are usually sufficiently controlled with 10 dosing cycles and other algae with around 15 dosing cycles.

Here are the instructions for unpacking and acclimating Berghia snails:
- Berghia snails are specialized feeders that only eat Aiptasia sp. It is important to always have enough Aiptasia for them or to pass them on in a timely manner.
- They are less suitable for larger aquariums with many fish, but if necessary they can be placed in the evening with the lights turned off using the transfer pipette.
- Direct contact between snails and Aiptasia should be avoided as this can lead to the death of the snails. The snails must make contact with the Aiptasia themselves.
- Berghia snails are ideal for controlling Aiptasia in small aquariums with peaceful fish or in separate "treatment aquariums".
- The snails delivered are not yet fully grown and can, if necessary, be fed in a separate aquarium until they reach the desired size.
- To open the Styrofoam box, simply pull on the blue ribbon. The insulated packaging does not need to be removed from the box. Allow the temperatures to equalize for around 10 minutes by placing the unopened transport container in the aquarium.
- Carefully unscrew the white lid anti-clockwise. The transport container may be full of sea water and individual snails may be stuck to the lid. If this happens, place the lid in a small bowl of sea water from the aquarium.
- Use the transfer pipette provided to remove the snails from the container and transfer them to the aquarium. Repeat the process with all snails.
- The insulated box is recyclable and can be disposed of as recyclables or used for other purposes.
- In case of a complaint, we ask for an email on the day of arrival with a photo of the snail in the transport cup for a replacement.
